Technician Gene Therapy

At Genewity, we are on a mission to save the lives of children with rare diseases exhibiting a high unmet medical need. We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Technician Gene Therapy to join our dynamic team. If you are excited to make a difference in children’s lives through advanced autologous ex vivo lentiviral gene therapy research, we want you with us.

·        Perform in vitro efficacy screenings for ex vivo LV gene therapy treatments and support in vivo sample analyses.

·        Plan and execute practical lab work, perform data analysis, including communication of work and results.

·        Document experiments and maintain detailed lab records in an electronic lab book. Ensure compliance with laboratory protocols.

·        Participation in laboratory maintenance and support tasks.

·        Recognize day-to-day problems and accept solutions based on standard (and novel) procedures.

·        Present experimental design and results in group meetings.

·        HLO/HBO/BSc or MSc, preferably with 2-3 years of working experience in biological/medical sciences or a related field.

·        Hands-on experience with aseptic cell culture techniques.

·        Experience in molecular biology techniques (e.g., qPCR, dPCR, DNA/RNA processing and analyses).

·        Hands-on experience with biochemical analyses (e.g. enzymatic assays, protein electrophoresis, western blotting, ELISA).

·        Willingness to work with animal specimens.

·        Experience in viral vector gene therapy is a plus.

·        Experience in FACS, immunocytochemistry and immunohistochemistry is a plus.

·        Professional certifications: art. 9 - Func. A&B (WOD), or art. 13f.2 is a plus.

·        Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced and demanding environment.

·        Written and spoken fluency in English.

We are offering a full-time position (40h), 8% holiday allowance, 25 holiday days per year, and many opportunities to grow within the company.
