Please note this is a temporary position of 6 to 12 months.

About Your Tasks and Responsibilities

In addition to our current ISO accreditations, we intend to implement GCLP guidelines in our laboratory to improve and expand our services for clinical trials.

We are looking for an experienced Project Leader to successfully set up our GCLP laboratory.

What will you do?

As our Project Leader GCLP, you will report tot the Laboratory Management and focus on setting up a laboratory for the implementation of complex GCLP projects. You will:

·        Be responsible for creating a project plan, in collaboration with various stakeholders.

·        Set up a GCLP project team.

·        Serve as the single point of contact for                                         internal and external stakeholders of this GCLP project.

·        Undertake all necessary actions to achieve GCLP compliance.

·        Ensure completion of all protocols, plans and contracts                   required for the implementation of the projects under GCLP.

·        Be responsible for setting up a laboratory enabling complex GCLP                                     projects, while adhering to relevant procedures and health and safety                               guidelines, all according to the highest industry standards and quality of services.

·        Provide leadership and mentorship to the project team,                       fostering a culture of growth, expertise and high performance.

After the completion of this project, the GCLP lab team will be handed over to a team leader who will take over responsibility for GCLP lab operations.


About Your Skills and Experience

What do we ask for?

·        Minimum bachelor’s or master’s degree in Life Sciences, Molecular                           Biology or similar, supplemented by relevant training in Project Management.

·        Recent experience in setting up a GCLP laboratory.

·        Detailed knowledge of GCLP guidelines; ISO/IEC 17025 and ISO 15189 is preferred.

·        Knowledge of (modern) molecular genetic services.

·        Strong communication and interpersonal skills.  

·        Excellent planning, organizing and management control skills.

·        Proficiency in Dutch and English, both verbally and in writing.

·        Willing and able to work on-site (Leiden) when the work requires.
